The York String Quartet treats each booking on an individual basis, and is committed to providing high quality bespoke entertainment at competitive rates.
We aim to enhance the atmosphere of any event by creating an elegant setting with music of the highest calibre, whilst providing a conversationpiece without being intrusive.
Fees depend on the total length of the engagement, which may be anything from one and a half hours to the more usual 3 or 4 hours or longer, and there are discounted rates for engagements within a 20-mile radius of York.

A small travel expenses supplement for engagements more than 20 miles outside of the York area will apply.
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the fee plus a signed Hire Agreement are required in order to confirm the booking. The balance is then due on the day of the booking, either in cash on our arrival or by cheque or electronic transfer in advance.
Smaller ensembles and shorter engagements can be negotiated on request in certain circumstances.
